Logistic support
Mischa Vredeveld, Managing Director of Vredeveld Group, is enthusiastic about this new development in his company. "The acquisition of Deelens Transport is a logical step for us in providing complete logistics support to clients in the construction, infrastructure, retail, and dry bulk markets. With the acquisition of Deelens' operations, we ensure total logistics support for Excluton and further strengthen our position in the transportation market. It's a particularly valuable combination."
Vredeveld Group, as the largest bulk transporter in Northern and Eastern Netherlands and a specialist in stone transport, is a major player in the international transportation sector. Over the past 85 years, the company has built a reputation as a specialist in supporting and optimizing logistical processes for hundreds of companies, including Excluton; knowledge and expertise that Vredeveld uses to enhance optimization and sustainability. "Sustainability and efficiency are becoming increasingly important in the transportation sector," explains Mischa Vredeveld. "Within our team, we utilize logistics specialists working from the Control Tower of Vredeveld Logistic Solutions to achieve customer goals in terms of efficiency and sustainability. This involves not only using our own assets but also leveraging market capacity. We go to great lengths for our customers in this regard."
Excluton is one of the largest Dutch concrete manufacturers specializing in decorative paving and road construction.
John de Jonge, CEO of Excluton, emphasizes that this partnership aligns perfectly with the development Excluton is undergoing. "A key point of our strategy is to build a sophisticated logistics platform, where logistic performance, as well as other supply chain achievements including sustainability, are central. We are convinced that together with Vredeveld, we will make a difference."
Additionally, we have found in Vredeveld a partner who, apart from experience and a proven track record, also culturally aligns with our company. We are pleased that we have been able to build this partnership in a very constructive atmosphere. It is very important for us that Deelens can continue to operate from Druten and thus remain strongly connected to Excluton."
After the acquisition of Deelens Transport B.V., the Vredeveld Group now has 200 employees and 120 of its own tractor units.
