Courses for code 95

Like every year, Vredeveld has once again organized a driver's day. Vredeveld does this in collaboration with Kreeft Opleidingen in Hoogeveen. The drivers of Vredeveld are divided into three groups, and therefore, they also had a training day on three different dates.

During these training days, the basic knowledge is reviewed, and we delve deeper into the additional topics that Vredeveld includes. Below is a small selection of the subjects covered:

  • Digital Tachograph
  • Safety
  • Occupational Health and Safety Legislation
  • Alcohol, smartphone and drug use

Safety is the most important topic discussed during these days. For example, we discussed how the driver can work in a safe and responsible manner. This includes:

  • Adjusting mirrors
  • Blind spot
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Truck preparation and post-check
  • Signaling and marking

In addition, the consequences of narcotic substances and smartphone use have been discussed. Unfortunately, it is increasingly in the news that accidents occur in which narcotic substances and smartphones play a major role. We want to make it clear to our drivers what the consequences are if you use your smartphone while driving or if you drive under the influence of alcohol. Videos have also been used to illustrate the consequences of not wearing a seatbelt.

On all training days, we arranged a fitting session with our clothing supplier, Flexco in Smilde, where the sizes of the drivers were measured for the new workwear and for fitting personal protective equipment.
